all's well, but we're super tired, and the reality of the adjustment and 24hr mom-ness is definitely hitting me...:-) hope to find time to post something here tomorrow, but for now, here is a quick update i posted to facebook yesterday:
made it to almaty!
what a big, busy day! we visited the shiny river and the market behind Daniel supermarke, had lunch at the bakery, and survived day two and the flight to almaty! toby did great on the plane, with the exception of trying to wiggle free from his seatbelt. ;-p yaaaaaayyyy for hotel kazzhol: - friendly help, faster internet, spacious rooms, delicious soup, a crib...and a beautiful big tub for toby's first bath! (after three copious poops today, he needed it.) :-D
toby is really coming alive, jabbering ALL the time, running around so excited about everything he discovers, repeating all kinds of words and saying many kazakh things i can't understand, and just exerting his personality more every moment; he is scarcely the same baby we met 2 1/2 months ago. i am very happy--but i honestly don't remember when i have last been this exhausted... hoping desperately for a good rest tonight, finally... :-]
