happy snowy new year!

I admit it; I love winter! We took this snowy walk on January 2nd, I think it was about 7 degrees that morning. It was great, but long johns would have been in order.  Alas, we had hoped we might be spending this New Year in Kazakhstan, but we'll have to settle for the snow and cold of northern Indiana.

 

For whatever reason, I could not get this guy to lie down in the snow to make a snow angel. Wimp!

Hey Denise and Gil, your kids' snowman made our blog! The sand bucket and pop cup are a nice touch.

We spent New Year's Eve with the Jones and the Beachys seeing the movie Blind Side, which I thoroughly loved and highly recommend! Topped off the eve with some sparkling cider and watched the ball drop alone, but we had to chuckle as we remembered last New Year's Eve with Chang-Geun and his brother Chang-Wan.

 

 

 (I wonder how Chang spent New Year's Eve in Korea... ;-P )

Guess this might be a our last New Year's Eve alone for a while -we hope anyway!
