well, the time has come to start thinking in terms of HOURS till we leave...about 30 hours until we pack the Rav and leave at 5 p.m. tomorrow with our friends the Mieraus to drive to O'Hare! wow, it's finally just about upon us.
rob and i started our thanksgiving day today sitting on the couch (me with my coffee) and praying...just thanking God for all our blessings, and praying through everything we could think of. that was so rich. actually, we are really blessed to be leaving this weekend--we are so aware of the GOOD THINGS for which we are thankful! (not to mention that it's really nice for both of us to have these two days OFF to get all this packing done!)
this is the current state of our living room floor. ;-)
can they do it? - you ask. yes! yes we can - we must!!! ;-D
we're thinking of our friends, the Coles, who leave for K-stan TODAY, and the Floyds, who I think leave tomorrow. we pray for safe travels and good health for them, and we can't wait to meet them Sunday! i've been in email contact with the gals for over a month - feels like we already know each other.
i'm also thinking of our dear friends--the Sarsams, the Wilkersons, and the Eyermans-- who are getting ready to enjoy their first holiday season with their newly adopted little ones (as well as D&A and little T, and many others): may you all have a wonderful holiday! we love and miss you, and can hardly imagine making this trip without you!! :-)
well, i won't spend a lot more time here. just want you all to know we feel your prayers and love. we'll talk to you soon...from the other side of the world!
love,
sandy
I'll be praying with you on this journey!
