two more days...

well, the visas were picked up today and should be on their way for an on-time arrival at our doorstep tomorrow morning. we're set to leave Fort Wayne on Saturday morning - praise God!

it's been a crazy week, and of course i had hoped to post before now, but well, there are a gazillion things to do and bags to pack.

i just wanted to remind you that i'm going to be privatizing this blog, probably tonight or tomorrow; i will try to send invites to everyone who has visited, but if you don't get one, just email to let us know you want the invite.

we just made a cute little photo album for our little guy, complete with photos of us, the house, his room, and some toys - just so he can start getting used to us and his home and also remember Rob while he's away. thought i'd post this cute pic of his stuffies:

 

and here's a fun shot of playing ticket to ride with russell and david b on sunday afternoon; rob trounced their tushies, but i was close behind. we love this game, though playing with four people gets about as nerve-wracking as watching olympics! i think we're bringing it along to K-stan. ;-p 

 

hard to believe i'll be gone for nine weeks...but the nice part of that is it will be spring when we return! (May 8 is Homecoming date: the day before Mother's Day!!! ;-) 

well, i've got a haircut at 6 and plenty of piles of things to pack and things to check off the to-do list, so i'd better get crackin'...

thanks for your thoughts and prayers, everybody...we couldn't even think of doing this without a huge and tremendous support network around us! you're the best!

PS ...yesterday Ust Kamenogorsk hit 15 F! that's WAY better than -37!! spring is on the way, even on the Steppe!
