headed out

tomorrow we're headed out to Traverse City, MI for the weekend, yay! i'm picking rob up at work at 3 p.m.

it's supposed to rain Saturday (boo) but hopefully it will be nice Sunday. our plans - always flexible, of course, true to our nature - are...
-  watch the sunset on the beach, if we make it there in time (8 pm?)
- check out a cheese factory/ take a tour? (are they a creamery? do they also serve ice cream? could they also serve ice cream?)
- go biking! (i'm particularly excited for this because we got me a new bike last week; this is the first new bike of my LIFE and i'm dying to try it out properly; it's been windy this week so i haven't ridden it much yet.) it's pretty... gray and orange...a guys' bike, but who cares. rob is busy mounting the bikes on the Rav even as i type...
- maybe take in a horse show? (this is our rain plan)
- and, last but not least, the schooner festival!!! i have no idea what you do at a schooner festival, other than look at large sailboats, but hopefully on Sunday when it is supposed to be sunny we'll be able to take a sailboat ride. i am so excited about.

and of course we're coming well-equipped with games, all our favorites. silly ha? go four hours away to do the same things we do here? but it's DIFFERENT doing them somewhere else!

hopefully we've take nice walks among the shops (won't Rob love that) and find a few cool places to eat. (and eat ice cream; i've been good this week so that i can look forward to that :-]) mostly we just look forward to getting away, as.we didn't really have a vacation this summer, and it's supposed to be really pretty up there.
