the long-awaited...shed!

so, an issue badly needing to be addressed at our place has been that of storage...a two-car garage that has never seen two cars...NO storage closets in the whole house...a badly disorganized, cluttered basement...a garage full of junk and baby stuff that needs to be moved into a baby room once the room has been painted (and hopefully re-carpeted)...

for me, the crux of the matter has been the need for a shed. yes, a shed. with a storage shed, we could move some of the junk out of the garage and thus start the domino effect with all the other clutter projects, hopefully just in time for Baby K.

so, after much thought and prayer, and much to my delight--the coveted shed arrived about two weeks ago on a cold, soggy and blustery day! beautifully constructed by Byler and Sons Storage Barns (fine makers of Amish-built sheds) our lovely little 8' x 12'er slipped through our gate with only inches to spare...

(the guy who delivered it commented, "who did the foundation? they did an excellent job; did he have construction skills?" ...go rob! you handyman you!!!)

it was pretty interesting to watch the whole process. now we have this lovely little perfectly matched-to-the-house green shed that sits about a foot off the ground...no drainage problems there! (unfortunately we also have 2-4 inch ruts across the yard from the heavy weight trailer!)

the garage has been relieved of some of its load now, and the happy little shed is nearly full. doesn't it look tiny back there in the corner of the yard? i'm a very, very grateful wife. :-)

onward, storage projects, ONWARD! ;-p
